2. Iron Man
It's almost cute when you look back on the spectacle that came with the release of Iron Man back in 2008. The standard action movie at the heart of this story almost looks minimalistic compared to what would happen in stuff like Endgame and Infinity War years later. Then again, even the most gargantuan of movie giants need to start somewhere.
Seeing how there was no real anticipation on the first outing, this end credits scene came as a bit of a surprise to the audience. Since the film clearly ended on Tony Stark proclaiming himself as Iron Man, things start to get a bit more complicated once we see him back at home. Checking the lights to see if there's an intruder, we are greeted by Nick Fury for the first time, as he talks about Stark becoming one of the founding members of the Avengers Initiative.
Looking back now, it's almost comical seeing the mixed feelings about the potential of this universe, with some fans arguing that this would be a bomb right out of the gate. Whereas the MCU nowadays has gone in a thousand different directions since its inception, the journey all comes back to these few seconds of film right here.
