10 Greatest MCU Heroes With No Powers

2. Natasha Romanoff

There is no shortage of MCU heroes with sketchy pasts, to put it politely. However, there are few as sketchy and mysterious, even after her own solo movie answered many of these questions, as Natasha Romanoff.

A KGB spy before defecting to S.H.I.E.L.D., Romanoff continued her life of deception as Stark Industries employee Natalie Rushman. From there, it was clear Nat was one of the greatest assets S.H.I.E.L.D. had, and her leadership and skills became vital as part of Earth’s Mightiest Heroes.

One of the things that showed just how much she cared about being a hero was how hard she took the loss to Thanos. Five years later she still fought every day with the Avengers, leading them in a time when it would have been perfectly acceptable for her to move on. Not Nat, though. She felt a responsibility to do everything she could for the world, including making the ultimate sacrifice.

There came a point on the cliffs of Vormir where there was a decision that had to be made in order to successfully complete the Time Heist. Natasha didn’t hesitate. She gave her life knowing that it was the best thing she could have ever done, and she died knowing that she played her part in bringing everybody back. When she said whatever it took, she meant it.
