10 Greatest MCU Villains With No Powers

8. Obadiah Stane

Some of the most compelling antagonists across the Marvel Cinematic Universe have had some sort of familial relationship with the hero of the movie. While Obadiah Stane wasn’t technically related to Tony Stark by blood, he was as much a father figure as Iron Man had ever had.

That’s what made it all the more painful when he eventually turned against his best friend’s son. Much like Darren Cross, it’s easy to simplify Stane’s motivations to merely a want for money and power, but it’s that relationship that adds more depth to the character.

That, and that he was wildly jealous of Tony, so much so that he tried to have him killed. Sometimes there is nothing more intimidating in movies than a ruthless man in a suit with the resources at his fingertips to do anything he wants.

If you want to talk about potential shocks in the future of the MCU, why not bring Stane back for Armor Wars? Other characters have come back from crazier fates than his before, and he was desperate to get his hands on Tony's arc reactor technology. Who better to put Rhodey against than the MCU’s very first Iron Man villain?
