10 Greatest Stoner Movies Ever

8. Jay And Silent Bob Strike Back

Jay And Silent Bob Clerks II
Miramax

Without question this generation's closest thing to Cheech and Chong, Jay and Silent Bob are the brainchild creations of Kevin Smith, first appearing in his low-budget debut Clerks and then many of the director's films since.

The duo even got their own spin-off movie, the superb Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back, which sees the pair travelling to Hollywood to stop a movie about them getting made. The customary dick and fart jokes ensue, as well as plenty of hare-brained adventures involving weed.

The film is highly surreal, from its Scooby Doo-esque sequence, to the meta jokes about Ben Affleck and Matt Damon (who we see filming Good Will Hunting 2 while Gus van Sant counts his money in the background). The highlight has to be the appearance of Jay's blunt bong saber at the end of the film, which he uses to slice off the giant fist of C***knocker (Mark Hamill).
