Death is a very common theme and common occurrence in Hollywood movies and one of the most often used methods is undoubtedly decapitation. That's right; the crude removal of a character's head is a very familiar sight in the world of cinema and a grisly one at that. Thousands of characters have had their heads cut off in hundreds of different ways - and not always in horror movies either. Of course, that's where the majority of decapitations occur, but characters have lost their heads in action movies, sci-fi movies, historical epics and even comedies. 10. Dalton Blinks... Creepy (House Of Wax)
When Dalton and Nick arrive in the ghost town known as Ambrose to go looking for their missing friends, they split up. While Nick finds his sister, Carly, tied up under a gas station, Dalton heads to the local wax museum where wax artist and deranged and deformed killer, Vincent, is lurking in wait. Dalton first finds his friend, Wade, turned in to a living wax work, and is then attacked by Vincent. Vincent pushes Dalton down some stairs, follows him down, slams his big boot in to his chest and uses a pair of dragon-handled knives to slice Dalton's head off. As Vincent drags Dalton's body away, his decapitated head rolls to face the camera and eerily blinks - presumably due to nerve impulses.
