9. Robbery Getaway
Paul Verhoevens film wastes no time in getting into the story and action. It's only Murphys first day in the district and already hes chasing the Boddicker gang after another robbery. Its a great scene in which Murphy is the hard-boiled cop who doesn't quit versus the cold blooded killers of the Boddicker gang. In Clarence Boddickers first scene he shows hes a character without morals or allegiances. When the character of Bobby gets graphically shot in the leg, Clarence throws him into a speeding police car during their getaway. From this point on you know the Boddicker gang are the worst old Detroit has to offer, stripped of all humanity and conscience.
