10 Hardest To Watch Horror Movie Moments

8. Mari And Phyllis' Fate - The Last House On The Left

Terrifier 2
Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer

The Last House on the Left is a film that's been covered from pretty much every conceivable angle by this point in time, yet it would be impossible to put together such a list and not include the most infamous part of that 1972 Wes Craven picture.

You likely know the drill by know with Last House. Two young women head to the city to attend a gig, only to be kidnapped, tortured and killed by some escaped criminals led by David Hess' Krug. From there, these criminals coincidentally end up seeking shelter at one of the victims' parents' house, where ultimately revenge is served up to these murderers.

Once Krug and his crew take Mari (Sandra Peabody) and Phyllis (Lucy Grantham) out into the woods, the watching audience already has a feeling what fate awaits this duo.

There, Mari and Phyllis are physically assaulted, raped, made to sexually touch each other, forced to wet themselves, Phyllis is stabbed to death and has her chest carved into, and Mari vomits before being fatally shot.

So unnerving, unsettling and outright twisted was all of this, The Last House on the Left was banned in several European countries - with reports claiming how some US projectionists would actually cut up the film after watching it.
