In likely one of the biggest understatements you will ever hear, Meir Zarchi's 1978 I Spit on Your Grave is not a pleasant watch.

Truth be told, the I Spit on Your Gave remake, that film's two sequels, and the 2019 follow-up to the original movie, are also not pleasant viewing experiences. But then, that's to be expected when these pictures are all about brutal rape and bloody revenge.

The 'moment' featured here is one that takes up a long, drawn-out legitimate third of the movie rather than merely a scene that comprises of just a few minutes.

With writer Jennifer Hills (Camille Keaton) having rented a cottage in order to get her first novel finished, she catches the eye of four locals. Three of these locals are complete creeps, while the other is mentally-challenged and easily influenced.

In one of the most distressing sequences ever committed to film, Jennifer is attacked, raped by two of the men, attacked once more, raped by another of the men, has her work destroyed, and is then sexually assaulted by the fourth and final man.

These atrocities are shown in sickening detail for nearly 30 solid minutes - which was enough to have it banned for years in a multitude of countries due to its graphic content.

Additionally, there's a whole load of gnarly acts later carried out on all four men involved in this attack, but hey, f**k 'em, they deserved everything they got.
