Judi Dench is an authentic legend, and her filmography only proves this: she is almost 80 and yet she has all the vitality and energy of a woman a third of her age. Her portrayal of M is the best in the series, and she played a major part in the success of the reboot. She worked so hard to create a real portrayal of the typically-male character, making her really believable instead of just a crusty superior with a disapproving view of Bond. Dench was practically meant to play a mothering role and falls right into the role so effortlessly and easily that you could almost assume she isn't acting at all. Her films in 2012 grossed almost $1.1billion at the box office, proving that age is no barrier when it comes to filmmaking. 2014 should be a big year for Dench - she has several productions coming out including The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel 2 as well as a few stage roles, where she always shines.
