10 Harry Potter Backstories That Would Be Way Better Than Another Fantastic Beasts Movie

Fans of Harry Potter have dreamed about a full backstory for the Marauders ever since they were introduced in The Prisoner of Azkaban.

Though a healthy degree of information was given about the adventures of Moony, Wormtail, Padfoot, and Prongs, a franchise of movies focused on each of their seven years at Hogwarts would be a logical prequel to Harry’s own adventures.

Due to the Marauders’ knack for troublemaking, such films would carry plenty of humour as well. Indeed, James and Sirius were particularly mischievous.

In addition to their regular nigh-time excursions around the Hogwarts grounds and the local village, the group also had a bitter relationship with Snape – not unlike Harry’s relationship with Malfoy. As such, a series about the Marauders’ time at Hogwarts would also provide a look into Snape’s adolescence as well. Given Snape is one of the most interesting characters in the original series, this is something many hardcore fans would love to see.

With a well-written script and some wise casting choices, a series of movies about the Marauders could be a huge success.
