2. The Formation Of The Order Of The Phoenix And The First Wizarding War
Following Voldemort’s return to Britain in the early 1970s, Dumbledore formed the Order of the Phoenix to respond to the rising threat of the Dark Lord and his followers.
Over the next decade, a fierce war took place between the forces of good and evil, accumulating with Voldemort’s failed attempt to kill Harry in Godric’s Hollow.
During this time, many members of the Order of the Phoenix lost their lives fighting Voldemort and his forces. The Prewett brothers, Benjy Fenwick, Marlene McKinnon, and Harry’s parents all died as a result of the conflict.
A series of films focused on such a war and those caught up in it would feature plenty of action and provide ample opportunity for fans to experience a number of new characters.
The only potential hurdle to get past would be choosing a central character. Given Dumbledore started the Order of the Phoenix, seeing the war from his perspective would seem the obvious choice. But having a fresh face as the lead character would also be interesting to witness.
