Every Harry Potter fan knows the four Hogwarts houses were named after the four founders – Godric Gryffindor, Rowena Ravenclaw, Helga Hufflepuff, and Salazar Slytherin.
Yet the details of the four founders received little development beyond this. The only additional information offered was Slytherin’s disagreement and the creation of the Chamber of Secrets. Even the extra detail on Pottermore is limited in terms of how the founders met and constructed the castle.
A movie focused on these four individuals, the creation of Hogwarts, and Slytherin’s subsequent hostility would be both entertaining and informative. Indeed, provided the four central characters were cast correctly, the relationships between the founders could be a big selling point.
As with the story about Helena Ravenclaw’s betrayal, this would also offer a look into how the magical world operated centuries before the events of the main story.
