The titular Order of the Phoenix mount a defence against the dark arts (see what we did there?) when Malfoy helps a handful of high profile death eaters gain access to Hogwarts late in proceedings, but this sequence is nowhere to be found in the lengthy film adaptation, wherein the little twerp’s plan is pulled off without a hitch.
It’s a missed opportunity to see the likes of formidable foes such as the ferocious werewolf Fenrir Greyback onscreen, not to mention the fact that eliding the astronomy-tower set showdown leaves out another one of Ginny Weasley’s more impressive moments of action.
