10 Hated Movies (That Deserve A Second Chance)

6. Star Trek Nemesis (2002)

To many, Star Trek is much more than just a television show about space. Star Trek is a show about friendship, romance, humanity, civilization, and to bravely go where no man has gone before. Star Trek is a glimpse into what the future might hold, a glance to the past, and most importantly, a detailed analysis of the present. To many, Star Trek is a religion.

Therefore, it is important that the movies display the same message when attempting to keep the franchise fresh. Overall, there have been 10 so far, some amazing, some mediocre, and some that aren't just worth mentioning. For some reason, Star Trek: Nemesis falls into the latter, with many people all over the world labeling it a disaster from start to finish. To make things worse, famed film critic Roger Ebert gave it a measly two out of five stars.

But does it really deserve such negativity?

No, of course not. The movie is actually responsible for one of the sweetest subplots of all time, Data's quest for humanity. Sure the rest of the movie sucked, but it was about time Data got a decent storyline, especially something as poetic as this. Unfortunately, Data's plotline got lost beneath the major pile of rubble that called itself a plot, thus rendering Data's journey insignificant by proxy. Go on, give it another go, do it for Data.
