10 Hidden Action Movie Gems To Watch On Netflix

2. The Legend Of Drunken Master

After a decade of making contemporary action movies such as Police Story and Armour Of God, Hong Kong action godfather Jackie Chan made a welcome return to his traditional martial arts films with 1994's The Legend Of Drunken Master. A belated semi-follow up to his breakthrough film Drunken Master, The Legend Of Drunken Master sees Jackie Chan revisiting the style of combat and intricate stuntwork which made him famous. A number of impressive set pieces give the movie momentum, but it's the climactic fight in the foundry with Ken Lo which will leave your jaw well and truly on the ground. Make no mistake, this is a fight scene which has come to be known as legendary, with even the late, great Roger Ebert describing it as "one of the most remarkably sustained examples of martial arts choreography ever filmed."
