10 Hidden DVD & Blu-Ray Horror Movie Easter Eggs You Need To Find

Eight Legged Freaks may be a shamelessly trashy B-movie homage, in which a sleepy mining town is overrun by a colony of truck-sized spiders, but that doesn't mean it can't be at least a little educational, right?

The film's DVD release is filled with genuinely informative factoids about various spiders throughout its menus.

These can be discovered by waiting until the animated spiders on the menus crawl over one of the menu options and then pressing a corresponding button (usually either up or down).

For instance, doing so while a black widow spider crawls across the "Select languages" option will load up a series of facts about the critter, while elsewhere you can find information on the spitter spider in the chapter select menu and the trapdoor spider on the Special Features menu.

These Easter eggs are altogether fun, educational, and if you're an arachnophobe, more than a little terrifying. But then again, maybe you shouldn't be watching a movie called Eight Legged Freaks if you're pathologically afraid of spiders.
