10 Highest-Grossing Movies Of 2015 (So Far) - Ranked From Worst To Best

Dreamworks Animation have always been very hit-or-miss when it comes to the quality of their feature films; for every Kung Fu Panda or How To Train Your Dragon, there is a Shark Tale or a Turbo. Home, the studio's latest feature, falls somewhere directly in the middle; the sci-fi comedy does have its moments, but it is also completely forgettable.
The best animated features appeal to people of all ages, but Home's primary-coloured visuals and simple humour are geared distinctly towards younger audiences. A typically star-studded Dreamworks voice cast including Jim Parsons, Rihanna, Jennifer Lopez and Steve Martin do their best with the thin material, but ultimately the movie brings little invention or originality to the genre.
As one of the first major family movies to be released this year, it comes as no surprise that Home performed well at the box office. Opening above expectations at $52.1m, with very little competition the movie has held incredibly well and remained in the domestic top ten for an impressive eleven weeks, with its worldwide total now over $365m.
