10 Highest Rated Superhero Movies On Rotten Tomatoes Ranked

3. Captain America: Civil War

The Dark Knight Joker
Marvel Studios

Adjusted Score: 103.894%

RT Position: 8th

If you thought The Avengers and Age Of Ultron were impressive feats of balance, they had nothing on Captain America: Civil War, which wasn't even a fully fledged Avengers movie.

The film - which was only a vague adaptation of the seminal comic book arc - took the book's ideas about superhero registration and intra-hero tension (and public anxiety) and put it all through a deeply personal story, which pushed the dynamic of Bucky, Tony Stark and Cap to the forefront.

Zemo might get some criticism for being a limited villain, but the decision to make it personal for him too was inspired as it meant for a more organic exchange between the warring heroes and the traditional villain. And talk about complexity!

And on top of all that, we got the debuts of Black Panther and Spider-Man and Ant-Man's first meeting with the Avengers. It's still amazing they managed it at all.
