10 Hilarious Behind The Scenes Facts About The Worst Movies Ever
4. Half The Names In The Birdemic Credits Are Made Up
With a budget of less than $10,000, Birdemic: Shock and Terror has some of the most incompetent special effects in movie history, though the director has said that he thinks they look realistic from a distance. In what context would you be watching the movie from a distance? Who knows.
At the end of the movie, there's an excruciatingly long shot of the characters watching birds fly away before the credits finally begin to roll. But here's the thing: half the names in the credits aren't even real. James Nguyen straight up added fake names to make it look like a more professional movie.
Seriously, try verifying some of these credits with IMDB. First there's the cast listing, which is all accurate, but then in the crew section, the people credited for Special Makeup, Gaffer, Makeup Artist, Costume Designer and Sound Designer are all fake. Really, would you honestly believe that this movie had both a costume designer and a production designer?
What's especially weird is that there are two people listed as boom operator, and the first one, Chase Osborne, appears to actually be the real boom operator. But then there's another name listed as the second boom operator which is totally made up. So Nguyen figured audiences wouldn't take the movie seriously if it only had one boom guy, but having two, now that's a real movie.
