10 Hilariously Unthreatening Movie Villains

9. Lex Luthor - Batman V Superman: Dawn Of Justice

However one feels about Zack Snyder's Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, it's impossible to claim that its choice of lead villain was a particularly menacing one. For the sequel to his Man of Steel, Snyder brought in the big guns - introducing both Batman and Lex Luthor to the DCEU.

While many have come around on Ben Affleck's Batman/Bruce Wayne - a spot on Batman, if you like that kind of Batman - but Luthor remains a hotly fought point of contention. As portrayed by Jesse Eisenberg, Superman's nemesis is shorn of his cold, calculating genius - replaced by the bastard child of Mark Zuckerberg and, well, Jesse Eisenberg. Snyder must have misheard us when we asked for 'that Heisenberg guy'.

This scrawny, creepy slimeball is a far cry from the cold, commanding monster of the comic books and animated movies. Even the camp Gene Hackman managed to be more intimidating than Eisenberg's silly weirdo. Lex Luthor? Come on Snyder, don't piss in a jar and tell us its granny's peach tea.
