6. Andy Kaufman Is Alive
You really need to check out Milos Forman film Man on the Moon if you havent already. It is a Jim Carrey driven biography about one of the strangest comedians to ever grace the east coast of America. Andy Kaufman was famous for winding up The King Jerry Lawler, his stand out stint in New York based cabbie comedy Taxi, odd stand up shows and pretty much always pretending to be someone else, rarely revealing his true form. History dictates that he died at the age 35 of a rare type of lung cancer, yet theorists and fans have another idea. Prior to his death, Kaufman told many close friends that he wished to fake his own death, which has subsequently meant fans around the world believe him to be alive somewhere. Kaufman claimed that he would return some 20 years later, which would have meant his comedic return would arrive in the year 2004. So far there isn't any sign of his comeback - which leads most cynics and realists to believe that it was only a fantasy, a fantasy that died along with his legacy on May 16 1984.
