10 Hollywood Stars Who Got REALLY Angry When They Didn't Win An Oscar
4. Jessica Lange
A two-time winner and five-time nominee, we're surprised The Academy kept letting Jessica Lange back in considering how often she tried to ruin other people's moments.
The first such incident occurred at the 1985 ceremony. Lange was in the running for Best Actress for her part in Country, but was pipped at the post by another Oscars favourite, Sally Field.
As the Mum from Mrs. Doubtfire's name was read out, Lange can be seen, clearly as anything, turning to her companion with a look in her eyes that said "What the hell?"
She is livid. If looks could kill, we'd all be talking about the 1985 Oscars for a very different reason.
Then, she did a similar thing the very next year!
Nominated in the same category for playing the singer Patsy Cline in Sweet Dreams, Lange lost out this time to veteran performer Geraldine Page. As soon as presenter F. Murray Abraham announces that the winner is his pick for "the greatest actress in the English language", Lange once again turns to the seat next to her and whispers "S***, it's Page!"
Life lesson - don't go to the Oscars with Jessica Lange.
You'll get roped into something.
