10 Hollywood Stars Who Got REALLY Angry When They Didn't Win An Oscar

You know who loves an Oscar? Denzel Washington.

He's been nominated for ten of the damn things, winning two of them across his impressive career.

His only directorial effort thus far to get recognition was Fences, which was up for Best Picture in 2017. Washington himself played the lead role in the film, and was also up for Best Actor.

The movie lost to Moonlight (or was that La La Land?) and big DW fell short after Casey Affleck scooped first prize for his work in Manchester by the Sea.

Perhaps he was angry that he didn't win for a film he'd directed. Perhaps he was angry because Affleck was facing serious misconduct allegations at the time. Or perhaps he was just angry.

All we know is - Denzel Washington was angry.

The rage began fairly subtly, as he clapped maybe a little too aggressively after Affleck's name was read out.

Then, throughout Affleck's speech, the star of The Equaliser looked like he could legitimately murder someone. He looked unbelievably peeved, like he's about to cry he was so annoyed.

Look Denzel, we all know you're going to be nominated at least a hundred more times before you retire, so just chill out.
