4. Zeder (aka Revenge of the Dead) (Pupi Avati 1983)
Stefano (Gabriele Lavia) is a novelist who has been given an old typewriter by his wife Alessandra (Anne Canovas). One night, Stefano discover an essay written by a scientist named Paulo Zeder on the typewriter ribbon. The essay seems to point to "K-Zones", which are areas where the dead can be buried and will be brought back to life. The film plays out more like a mystery than a traditional zombie movie with Stefano investigating Paulo Zeder's claims rather than dealing with a zombie outbreak. It is an interesting take on a murder mystery, because Stefano is investigating a resurrection rather than a death.
