10 Horrendously Inaccurate Depictions Of Technology In Movies

5. Data Storage - Disclosure

Disclosure Here's an instance of a film desperately trying to appear hip and up to date, but essentially banishing itself to superior derision from future audiences. The utterly daft yet rather entertaining sexual harassment thriller Disclosure features one risible scene in which Michael Douglas explores a brand new data-storage VR program, which creates a large virtual repository for all of the company's files, in completely needless, extravagant fashion. Even putting the awful visual effects aside, what is the benefit to making this storage facility so perilous to navigate? Is it really a positive to have your employees experiencing vertigo as they peer over the edge of a cliff edge in order to pull this year's accounts? It's a woefully desperate attempt for the film to try and appear ahead of the curve, but in retrospect, it just looks awful.
