10 Horror Anthology Movies You've Probably Never Seen
7. Southbound
Southbound is easily one of the most impressive modern horror anthologies to be released, and should be essential viewing for fans of the genre.
One look behind the camera at the talent involved and you'll find a slew of up and coming names that have already, or will very soon, be making big splashes in the genre. Roxanne Benjamin (Remember her from XX earlier?) directed the segment Siren, which went on to get its very own full length movie.
The duo of Tyler Gillet and Matt Bettinelli-Olpin both wrote and directed the wrap around for the movie, and then went on to direct instant horror classic Ready or Not, and are now lined up to helm Scream 5.
Finally, David Bruckner, who went on to direct The Ritual, helmed one of the best and most bloody segments of any horror anthology ever with The Accident.
In short, Southbound is cream of the crop when it comes to the horror anthology and you should watch it. Did I mention it also has narration from Larry Fessenden?
