10 Horror Characters That Appeared Outside Their Own Movies

9. Michael Myers - Ghost Whisperer

The Goldbergs
CBS

Anyone remember Ghost Whisperer with Jennifer Love Hewitt?

Nope, didn't think so.

Despite languishing in obscurity these days, the show ran for five years on CBS. Hewitt played as Melinda Gordon, an ordinary woman with the special ability of being able to communicate with the spirits of the undead.

As you can imagine, this opened up a whole world of possible crossovers.

In an episode from the show's third season entitled Horror Show, Melinda is dealing with the restless ghost of a horror movie fan. To talk to her, the phantom places its guide into scenes from said films, including Halloween.

This leads to a scene where Hewitt comes face-to-face with an ominous-looking man in a blank white mask. Sound familiar?

Whilst he's not credited as Michael Myers (potentially for legal reasons), this guy is 100% Haddonfield's most famous resident. He doesn't stab anybody in this episode, but that might have had something to do with the show's primetime slot.

Horror Show also featured a cameo from the boy from The Grudge. There's also a neat little Easter Egg involving the film I Know What You Did Last Summer, which starred... Jennifer Love Hewitt.

It's all connected.
