10 Horror Final Girls Who Didn't Survive Their Movie

The OG Final Girl to bite the dust before her time, Marion Crane is set up as Psycho's lead from the outset, embroiling the audience into her nefarious deeds as she steals a lump sum from her bank and attempts to flee the state. Stopping off at the ill-fated Bates Motel, what seems like the beginning of Marion's story reveals itself to be the end, as Norman Bates gets on his best granny gear and stabs her up the shower.

Roughly halfway into our film and we've lost what has clearly been established as the movie's main player, and by extension, who we'd very reasonably expect to last out the movie - morals realigned or not - by every normal industry standard.

This is a weird one, as we don't really get a horror movie without Marion's death, and by extension wouldn't have needed a Final Girl, but since does fit what we'd expect of our lasting ladies by any other convention, it absolutely fits this list. In either case: she dead.
