Glen Lutz may not officially be in the 2010 A Nightmare on Elm Street, yet Glen is in that remake in all but name.

In Wes Craven's 1984 original, Glen is the character played by a young Johnny Depp. Despite being followed by six sequels, a crossover with Jason Voorhees, and said redo, the death of Lutz still stands out as one of the most memorable demises of the entire franchise.

The boyfriend of central protagonist Nancy Thompson, that '84 film had Glen fall asleep while watching TV. Of course, that meant Lutz was now fair game for Freddy Krueger to brutalise, and that's exactly what happened - with Glen pulled into his bed while a pool of blood shot up to the ceiling.

As mentioned, there is no character called Glen Lutz in the god-awful 2010 Elm Street remake. Instead, it's Kyle Gallner's Quentin Smith who is in Glen's role. Once Quentin's crush on Nancy is highlighted, audiences immediately feared the worst for this character, with hope high that we may see something akin to Glen's gnarly '84 death.

Instead, Quentin succeeded where his predecessor failed, managing to somehow survive the murderous ways of Jackie Earle Haley's Krueger.
