10 Horror Movie Characters Who Died Painful Deaths

5. Pam - Death Proof

2007's Death Proof is perhaps Quentin Tarantino's least liked (and most underrated) movie, but it is the closest the director has come to making a proper horror film (unless you count From Dusk Till Dawn, which he scripted). Twinned with Robert Rodriguez's Planet Terror for their Grindhouse double bill, Death Proof is Tarantino's slasher movie... in a car.

Kurt Russell plays the monstrous Stuntmen Mike, a serial killer who lures young women back to his tricked-out car which he then crashes... on purpose.

Pam (Rose McGowan) is Stuntman Mike's unlucky victim - locked into the passenger side when Mike drives his vehicle head-on into oncoming traffic. Poor Pam is splattered all over the inside of her makeshift tomb, while Stuntman Mike walks away to kill another day.

"This car is 100 percent death proof," Mike brags. "Only to get the benefit of it, honey, you really need to be sitting on this side."
