10 Horror Movie Endings You Can No Longer See

Adam Wingard's absurdly entertaining slasher film You're Next ends in spectacularly jolting fashion when the unexpectedly well-trained "victim" Erin (Sharni Vinson) manages to fend off her assailants and emerge as the sole survivor.

However, there is a cheeky little sting in the tail: Erin is mistakenly shot and wounded by a cop who believes her to be the attacker, having just witnessed her killing her malevolent boyfriend Crispin (A. J. Bowen).

The cop then calls for backup and enters the house, in turn falling victim to a trap set by Erin, with a rigged axe falling down and presumably killing him. The End.

Yet Wingard shot a slightly different, less darkly comedic ending in which the cop straight up shoots Erin in the head, killing her.

This certainly would've generated a very different vibe of an ending, and Wingard stated on social media that he decided during editing not to include it, so it's only been seen by a handful of crew members.

The scene has unfortunately never been released, beyond the single above image of a capped-in-the-head Erin.
