10 Horror Movie Franchises That Never Seem To End

3. Friday The 13th

Halloween Kills
Paramount

It was inevitable that we'd get to good old Jason Voorhees at some point. The supernatural killer has charged the franchise toward ten films, a crossover with Freddy, and a remake spanning a twenty-nine year period. All things considered that's a pretty respectable tally.

For far too long now, the rights to Friday the 13th have been caught up in a legal battle that have prevented the hockey masked killer from gracing our screens since 2009, when the remake was released. Since then, we've only had a game and fan made movies (check out Never Hike Alone) to tide us by.

Hopefully it won't be too much longer before we have that pleasure, and it'll be all but guaranteed that once the rights issues are resolved we'll get a slew of content. There wouldn't be such a fight for it otherwise, would there. Until then, happy camping.
