10 Horror Movie Heroes Everyone Forgets About

7. Kirsty Cotton - Hellraiser

Pinhead is known the world over. His design is flawless, and he's up there with Freddy Krueger and Jason Voorhees as one of the most recognisable villains in horror history. The 2022 reboot is sticking more closely to Clive Barker's original novella in its depiction of the Hell Priest, but it's safe to say there are big shoes to fill.

With such a great design, Pinhead and his gang of Cenobites take centre stage and tend to overshadow anyone that they share the screen with. However, what's the point in a good villain if they don't have a nemesis to square off against?

Kirsty Cotton fills that role and is severely underrated. She's quick-thinking and manages to get the better of the Cenobites more than once. She outwits them in their first face-off, and she even manages to escape their own realm in the sequel. As far as final girls go, Cotton is one of the best there is.

By the sixth entry in the franchise, Hellraiser had fell victim to the horror sequel curse and was long removed from its glory days. One thing it did have going for it though, was the return of Kirsty Cotton, and fans were glad to see her get a relatively happy ending through one last deal with Pinhead.
