10 Horror Movie Heroes That Should Have Been Villains

2. Bridget Callum - Leprechaun 2

In the realm of slashers, the final girl is often depicted as adaptable, tenacious, and resilient. It's also important she comes across as likeable, or nobody will give a damn whether she lives or dies.

However, Leprechaun 2's Bridget Callum has none of these qualities. Our heroine is so mean-spirited, whiny, useless, and self-absorbed, she makes a strong case for the worst final girl ever.

Although there's nothing wrong with making a character flawed, Bridget comes across as irredeemable. Considering the movie starts with her sabotaging her boyfriend's job for attention before dumping him, it really looks like she's being set up as the antagonist.

When the gold-craving leprechaun prepares to make Bridget his bride, there's a moment where it feels like the pair will join forces, but that's not the case. As soon as the merry monster makes his intentions crystal clear, Bridget becomes a damsel in distress and runs right back to her ex, expecting him to fix her problems.

Due to Bridget's unappealing nature, there's no doubt she should've been a baddie. Also, seeing the Leprechaun team up with another wicked soul would've been more entertaining than watching a retread of the original film.
