10 Horror Movie Sequels That Were JUST Announced

Jennifer's Body was a critical and commercial disappointment when it released in 2009, but the Megan Fox-starring horror has enjoyed something of a re-evaluation in recent years, being embraced as a fiercely feminist romp in light of the #MeToo movement.

And though writer Diablo Cody has continually expressed her desire to make a sequel over the years, it honestly never really seemed like it'd amount to anything given the film's box office underperformance.

And yet, mere weeks ago Amanda Seyfried gave a tantalising update on the proposed sequel in a Variety "Actor on Actor" interview with Adam Brody, who also starred in the film.

During the interview, Seyfried tells Brody, "We’re making another," before asking Brody if he's going to be in it, and when he retorted that he hadn't heard anything because his character died in the original, Seyfried tellingly replied, "So did Megan Fox, and I'm not doing it without her."

While Jennifer's Body 2 is clearly still in the early stages of development, this is the first word from anyone close to the production that it's actually gearing up.
