2. Influencers
Influencer was a psychological horror film released in 2022, revolving around Madison (Emily Tennant), an influencer whose trip to Thailand turns disastrous when she crosses paths with a fellow traveler, CW (Cassandra Naud).
Kurtis David Harder's film ended up receiving strong reviews for its clever script and strong performances, but as enjoyable as it was, it absolutely seemed like a one-and-done.
Yet back in May, Harder revealed that not only was an Influencer sequel in the works - he'd already quietly shot it without most people knowing.
The sequel, amusingly titled Influencers, will see Cassandra Naud return as the central antagonist, while the new ensemble cast includes the likes of Georgina Campbell, Lisa Delamar, Jonathan Whitesell, Veronica Long, and Dylan Playfair.
Director Harder has promised that the sequel will be "more unhinged" than its predecessor, with the action shifting from Thailand to the south of France.
And with the film set to premiere this summer at the Fantasia International Film Festival, the general release probably isn't too far away.
