10 Horror Movie Sequels That Were JUST Announced
1. Invoking Scream
Invoking Yell was a 2023 Chilean found footage film about three young women who head into the woods in the late '90s to shoot a music video for their black metal band, only for things to take a seriously sinister turn.
It wasn't a smash hit by any means, but Invoking Yell did perform well on the genre festival circuit and became something of a cult film among found footage fans in particular.
Enough, evidently, that earlier this year filmmaker Patricio Valladares announced that a sequel is in the works.
The follow-up, Invoking Scream, will reportedly leap forward into the late 2000s as another metal band unexpectedly faces off against supernatural forces.
While there were likely few actively screaming out for a follow-up, if Valladares can offer up a creative variation on the original's formula, this could be another worthy entry into the found footage canon.
Given that the first film was shot in just three days for virtually no money, it probably won't take too long for the sequel to make its way to audiences either.
