10 Horror Movie Sequels You Probably Didn't Know Existed
6. Look What's Happened To Rosemary's Baby
Any horror fan worth their grain of salt has seen Rosemary's Baby, the 1968 all time great that tackles gaslighting, pregnancy, and paranoia. By today's standards the film itself may seem a little dull, but it is a work art; one which can be said to be sadly tainted by the very hands that made it.
Now, do those same horror fans know that it received a made-for-television sequel called Look What's Happened to Rosemary's Baby? No, well you're not alone.
Aired in 1976, the film is broken into three segments, and initially takes place 8 years after the events of the first film, and only one member of the original cast returns (Ruth Gordon). If you're hoping for the same layered themes from the original film, don't hold you're breath. The climax of the first segment has a possessed bus that drives itself. Enough said.
Things only moderately improve when seasoned actor Stephen McHattie (Watchmen) stars as an older Adrian in the latter two segments. What makes this forgotten sequel such a shame, is that it was directed by Oscar nominated editor Sam O'Steen. Unsurprisingly his directing career never did take off.
