10 Horror Movie Villain Replacements Fans REJECTED

Before we get started, I will defend Mila Kunis here. Allegedly, she wasn’t told this was a sequel to Mary Hannon’s film adaptation of Bret Easton Ellis's novel. Originally called ‘The Girl Who Wouldn’t Die’, the film was only turned into a sequel to American Psycho during production... and it really, really shows.

Kunis' Rachel Newman unfortunately carries none of the terror, wit and hilarious depravity of Patrick Bateman, despite actually killing him right at the start of the film.

This sets the tone for a movie that has no respect for it’s far better predecessor, as Rachel cheerfully tells the audience that she offed the beloved antagonist of the previous flick. She’s also obsessed with William Shatner, which says it all really.

Unlike Bateman’s calculated murders, Rachel just kills for no real reason as well. We are used to seeing this in horror films, with slashers needing very little reason to do some good old slashing, but Rachel’s killing sprees are excessive and inconsequential.

She’s arrogant without doing anything to validate this confidence, and has nothing different to offer than your bog standard slasher movie. This is one video tape you definitely should return.
