10 Horror Movie Villains Motivated By Love
4. Julia - Hellraiser
There is a very fine line between love and lust, and this infamous character walks that line masterfully. She's a vile and reprehensible creature, as she lets her passion/obsession with a fling from her past throw her life (and afterlife) into disarray. In the words of Jaime Lannister, "the things we do for love".
Julia is married to Larry, but she can't stop fixating on the fiery night she spent with his brother Frank. She longs for that passion again and remains obsessed with her husband's sibling, which manages to pay off after he appears to her, skinless and in need of men to help him regain his body. Julia to the rescue!
She commits awful crimes to save the man she loves, hoping they will be able to run away together once the murdering is done. Julia even goes so far as to betray her husband to do it - which seems to be second nature for her.
This secondary antagonist spends the whole film acting like a lovesick puppy dog until she is betrayed. Still, in the sequel, she comes back in full force as a vengeful and violent monster herself. Uh, good for you, girl?
