10 Horror Movie Villains Who Deserved The Win

1. The Team - The Cabin In The Woods

We can all agree that saving the world from evil demons is a pretty noble pursuit.

That's what the team behind the sacrifices at the heart of The Cabin in the Woods are doing - offering up a selection of horror movie stereotypes to the Ancient Ones so they don't go on a world-ending rampage.

The problem is, they take it too far.

Instead of straight-up making the offerings, they turn the ritual into a grotesque sport, taking bets amongst themselves as to which type of monster will kill the helpless victims. In the end, karma catches up with them, as they die when their own monstrous creations are released.

Look, they shouldn't have made such a spectacle out of the whole thing, but they were trying to save the planet. From horrible demons. Who are giant.

Unfortunately, because the team fail in their goal, the Ancient Ones rise up and trigger the end of the world. When it comes to stakes, they don't come much higher, so perhaps the survivors in the film should have given them a little bit of leeway for the sake of all humanity.

Just a thought...
