10 Horror Movie Villains Who Got The Best Revenge

7. Julian Slowik - The Menu

The Menu opens with food fanatic Tyler (Nicholas Hoult) inviting Margot (Anya-Taylor Joy) to the Hawthorn restaurant, which is overseen by legendary chef Slowik (Ralph Fiennes). Throughout the evening, his kitchen staff repeatedly antagonise the guests, making them wonder what they could've done to deserve such mistreatment.

Slowik later reveals he handpicked each participant, since they all played a hand in him losing his passion for cooking. To exact his revenge, he plans not just to kill them, but to humiliate them.

Because his business partners have been stealing money, they are served tortillas with their tax records laser-printed on them. Believing Richard no longer finds Hawthorn's food special, Slowik exposes his affair to his wife. Tired of Tyler's sycophancy, the world-class cook humiliates him after he bungles a dish, compelling him to take his own life.

Now, there's no question Slowik is utterly deranged. (His decision to kill a washed-up actor, because he didn't like his movie proves he's lost the plot.) Nevertheless, one may be tempted to applaud Slowik's revenge plan, since he prepared each punishment with the same level as care as a dinner course.
