10 Horror Movie Villains Who Would Have Won By Doing NOTHING

1. John Kramer - The Saw Franchise

Underworld Rise Of The Lycans Viktor
Lionsgate Films

Every villain is doing the right thing in their own mind, even if, in reality, they're imprisoning people in deadly traps and forcing them to do horrible things to themselves in order to survive.

John Kramer, aka the Jigsaw killer, is dying. He has an inoperable form of cancer, so he dedicates the rest of his life to making people appreciate their own existence.

That's the purpose of his traps; to grant his victims a fresh perspective on life by bringing them close to death. A good idea in principle, but... actually, no, it's not a good idea in principle.

It's not a good idea at all.

Kramer finally dies in Saw III, when one of his victims slices his throat with a power tool. Instead of using his final days to inspire people and get his affairs in order, Kramer's life ends in bloody, brutal fashion as a despicable murderer.

All Kramer had to do was accept his fate and look for other ways to spread his message. That way, he could have died with dignity, rather than getting hacked to death with something from Home Depot.
