10 Horror Movies Audiences Walked Out On

7. Bite

Terrifier 2
Black Fawn Distribution

You know a film is going to be stomach-turning when the producers start handing out barf bags at screenings. That's exactly what happened Bite premiered at the Fantasia International Film Festival in 2015.

The film's main character Casey (Elma Begovic) is on vacation in Costa Rica when she gets bitten by an insect. Dismissing it as nothing to worry about, Casey returns home but begins to feel a little off.

And by "a little off" we mean "slowly mutating into a horrible bug monster".

Casey's bite takes a hold of her body and she begins to transform. She gains new abilities including an enhanced sense of hearing and the ability to spit deadly acid, both of which she uses to go on a killing spree.

Even those without entomophobia - that's a fear of insects, by the way - struggled to get through this gristly tale. The premiere was followed by reports of people passing out and puking with many viewers unable to get through the entire thing.

Bite isn't exactly original - it's basically The Fly but with more goo - but if you ever want to convince someone to wear insect repellent, then it's a very effective advert.
