10 Horror Movies Scenes Shot For Real

7. Real Paranormal Activity Is Seen On-Screen - The Village In The Woods

Vampire's Kiss

Another lesser-known horror picture here, and one that didn't actually intend to shoot a seemingly quite real moment when setting up for a scene. But in the end, director Raine McCormack would ultimately explain that his crew accidentally ended up capturing a quite spooky occurrence whilst filming 2019's scary drama The Village in the Woods.

As he'd reveal in an interview on the Nicole Ven Videos YouTube Channel, whilst shooting a scene within the manor house, one of the doors opened itself.

Actor Robert Vernon, playing Jason in the scene, then went and reacted to the door, with McCormack just assuming it was the wind that had caused it and keeping the eerie moment in the final cut. As they continued, though, the door kept on opening right on cue, getting to the point that McCormack actually requested for someone to close it. Sure enough, the door then closed itself, leading to everyone on set letting out a quite understandable gasp.

Was it all just a big ol' coincidence, or did McCormack and co. unexpectedly film some real paranormal activity? Either way, that door definitely wasn't opened by any special effects, people. Weird.
