6. Bill Skarsgard's Eyes REALLY Did That - It (2017)

This list has already mentioned one moment from the first chapter of Andy Muschietti's big-screen adaptation of Stephen King's legendary 1986 horror novel It. But while Bill Skarsgard's disturbing clown unfurling out of a fridge may have been a largely animated creation, that definitely wasn't the case for some other freaky moments in the picture.

At various points during his performance as the menacing alien creature in both It Chapters, Skarsgard's eyes appear to have been digitally tinkered with to create the illusion of them moving off in different directions when the actor unleashed his horrible clownish smile.

Only, as a spooked Bill Hader, one of the stars of Chapter Two, would eventually find out for himself after asking how they achieved that effect for the first film, it turns out that Skarsgard needed absolutely no CG assistance at all.

That was all him whenever he was intensely staring a hole through members of the Losers' Club's heads, and it was an unsettling party trick that he seemingly wasn't afraid to pull out when he wasn't in the full clown make-up, too.
