10 Horror Movies Set On One Day Only

7. The Funhouse

Cube Movie
Universal Pictures

This carnival horror takes place all over one fateful night in which a group of friends take a trip to one pretty twisted funfair.

Far from the typical fare of rigged rides and candyfloss, this fair has a pretty visible seedy underbelly, with the teens taking in both a freakshow and a strip-show as part of their evening.

Things start to go even more downhill when the four decide to stay the night inside one of the rides, ‘The Funhouse’: a dark, haunted house ghost train sort of deal. Whilst settling in, they bear witness to something they definitely shouldn’t have seen, putting targets on their backs for the rest of the night until they can manage to escape.

A lot can happen in just one night, especially when you find yourself sucked into the dark world of an evil travelling carnival. In a way they did bring it on themselves though, because what kind of ridiculous movie logic makes you think it’s a good idea to spend the night in a janky haunted house ride? Especially one that is next door to a carnivalesque strip club...
