10 Horror Movies That Actually Benefitted From Bad Acting

7. BloodRayne

Old 2021
Boll KG Productions

Uwe Boll is no stranger to infamous video game adaptations, but his work on BloodRayne remains iconic due to the actors he chose. You'd think that getting A-list talent means a sure win yet Boll miraculously manages to make these famous thespians look like amateurs.

For example, Michael Madsen's Vladimir has been derided for his poor performance throughout the film. Known for his tough guy roles, the actor just seems hopelessly out of place in a fantasy setting and ends up looking bored and disheveled (with the wig doing him no favours). His death scene leads to hilarity as Madsen shows no sign of emotion even in the face of certain doom.

Casting Michelle Rodriguez as a British woman is another WTF choice. Despite being famous for action movie roles, the actress is just not equipped with playing someone not American which leads to one of the worst attempts at an English accent since Keanu Reeves in Dracula.

And the madness keeps on going as BloodRayne features actors like Billy Zane, Meatloaf, and Sir Ben Kingsley giving oddball performances. But because of how distracting and poorly cast they are, it makes BloodRayne memorable and asks the question of how Boll got them in the first place.
