1. Saw X

The realisation that another Saw movie is on the way isn't particularly a surprising one, but what will likely pique the interest of many, is the fact that Tobin Bell is once again returning to the franchise.

Of course, Bell is famed for playing John Kramer, aka the Jigsaw Killer, in the series. While Kramer was technically killed off in Saw III, the character has been featured in flashbacks in every subsequent entry in the series bar Spiral.

Joining Tobin Bell, is another surprise in the shape of Shawnee Smith. For those unaware, Smith played Amanda Young, who was revealed as Jigsaw's apprentice in Saw II. Much like John Kramer, though, Amanda also ended up dead by the end of Saw III.

At this point in time, all that's known about Saw X is that the film was expected to finish shooting this past February, with Saw VI helmer Kevin Greutert on directing duties. As is often the case with major horror releases, the movie is aiming for an October 2023 release date.

While no official plot details are know right now, many are speculating that Saw X will actually end up being a prequel picture, detailing the early work of Jigsaw and exploring the initial relationship between John Kramer and Amanda Young.
