10 Horror Movies That Deserve A Sequel (But Will Never Get One)

6. The Void

In Lovecraftian horror The Void, a small-town police officer and a handful of survivors become trapped in a hospital after the building is surrounded by hooded cult members. Just when it seems like things couldn't get worse, several patients transform into otherworldly creatures.

Despite being gripping and genuinely nightmarish, it felt like The Void only scratched the surface of its dense lore, which numerous further entries could delve into. The fate of key characters remains unknown while the two leads ended up in a different dimension, emphasising that this story is far from over.

It also must be highlighted that The Void was made for less than $83,000. Despite the shoestring budget, the crew created astounding sets, animatronics, and monster costumes. With that in mind, it'd be amazing to see what a sequel with a drastically bigger budget could pull off.

Before anyone gets excited, it's worth mentioning there's nothing to suggest The Void 2 will ever come to pass. Be that as it may, The Void feels like the type of property that could kickstart something monumental if the creators played their cards right.
